New Code Release

site Proudly announcing the release of v6.4.0 of Websource! The latest version includes all that stuff I talked about a few posts ago. Basically the release fixes a LOT of bugs, and reduces the DB hit count by about 2-3 per page. Please leave feedback if you find any bugs, and I will be sure to work them into the next release.

Gatlinburg, TN

photos It's been a while since the photos were actually posted, but here's the official announcement that pics are available from our vacation to Gatlinburg earlier in July. Amy and I figured it was time to get out and actually do something together, as we really haven't been on vacation since our honeymoon in November last year. Anyway, pics are here.

Site Mods

site There will be a new set of features available for the site soon, which includes changes to the packaged code tree. I'm still making some more mods, and working on cleaning up a distributable form, so hang tight if you're actually wanting to download a copy. Basically the next release will allow integration with PHPBB, instead of the default user system.

Network Upgrade

network Eh, I guess not so much an upgrade as it's a change from what I've had set up for the past 2 years. The other week I finally decided to get a nice tall shelf system to put ALL the computer equipment on. Found a nice 5 tier unit from Target, and cleaned up the computer room and the 2 years of dust behind my desk. 1 severe runny nose later, I'm left with this: CLICK ME! You have to admit though, the black and silver on the firewall box goes will with the network rack + computer shelf, not to mention my desktop system and stereo. Yes, a true geek can accessorize computer equipment, but not clothes. Go fig.

New York City Photos

photos After a total of 4 weeks in NYC, I got a lot of pictures to share. The recent trip has left me with memories of the Statue of Liberty, Fire Island (Long Island coast), and the downtown area (in the daytime). Pics are here, and are grouped according to location. Also on this trip I got to see Avenue Q, my first show on Broadway, but due to restrictions at the theater, I wasn't even able to get shots of the crowd or the building interior.
